Tonight worship was a wonderful experience. Our theme today was ASK. Our verse of the day was from Psalm 37:4, “Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (TNIV) Our camp pastor, Amy, told us that God likes it when we ask questions in our prayers. She explained to us that sometimes the things that we want are necessarily the things that God wants for us. However, if we keep praying God will change the desires of our heart to match God’s.
We heard a great example of this from two real live missionaries that are here at camp with us this week! Blake and Bekah Hart are CBF field personnel in Chile. They shared a story with us how they really wanted to serve others in Ecuador, but opportunities were not opening up there. They kept praying, hoping that God would answer the desires of their heart. As they continued praying on how they could serve others, they started seeing a need in Chile that they could meet. They realized that God was calling them to serve the people of Chilie and soon God’s desire became their desire.
During worship tonight, two of our campers helped lead us in worship through a dramatic dance. Below is a video from worship. Enjoy!
