PASSPORTkids!: Day 2

Camp is continuing to go GREAT! The kids are making more new friends and having fun with each other. The day started off with our kids getting the opportunity to serve everyone at camp breakfast. It was neat to witness the kids working together and helping others.

After breakfast it was time for Bible study groups, recreation, lunch, and camper’s choice & missions rotations. During camper’s choice, campers got to choose what activity they wanted to participate in. Our campers experienced cooking, canoeing, drama, nature hike, basketball, and crafts. During their missions rotation they learned about CBF field personnel (a.k.a. missionaries) in China who are training pastors there, learned about the Chinese culture, and had the opportunity to talk to field personnel Blake & Bekah Hart about what it’s like to be missionaries.

After our afternoon free time (that was filled with another fun trip to the pool & many campers buying camp souvenirs at the camp store) we had dinner & worship. After worship time we went to an awesome China Night Market. The night market was a replica of what you might find in China with street vendors. Campers spend the night going to different vendors learning lots about the China culture and first hand experiencing it. Campers tasted China tea, ate noodles, tried Chinese candy, learned about the Peaking Opera, and even learned some Tia Chi! The Chine Night Market ended with an cool Chinese New Year parade complete with a Chinese Dragon and sparklers.

We are now winding down, getting showers, and going to bed. Keep praying for campers to have a wonderful experience discovering God’s love and fellowshipping with each other!
